Really... Who Killed Adeline?
This is from a book I read called 'Little Ironies' where in a certain chapter,
Adeline who is a very young girl faces too much pressure from her parents, whom have very expectations of her to pass her examinations, and thus could not concentrate on her studies and failed her examinations by just one mark. Afraid to face her parents, she plunges to death...
So who is the real 'murderer' ?
In my opinion, i would say that her parents killed her. Adeline's parents wanted Adeline to get good grades so that they will have face in the world. However, they did not know that what they were doing was creating mounting pressure on the poor child. Adeline knew she could not fail this time or else she was sure to get a good caning. With this kind of stress and pressure, she could only end her pains and sufferings by committing suicide...
