Hello. I will just go straight to the point. Well, the description of your paradise countryside seemed a bit of far-fetched. I hope you agree. If you were to live in a cosy little cottage, would you have television? Or perhaps easy access to clean water and electricity? Maybe you do, I do not know. However, think about the costs involved in putting a television in the cottage. Rearing poultry and cultivating crops sure sounded relaxing and enjoyable. I wondered if you really like to clean the chickens' coops and the pigs' pen, or maybe sticking young plants into muddy soil? What about the morning smell of damp earth and the incessant buzz of crickets and bugs? I certainly was not trying to depict countryside as Hell but just thought that life nowadays whether you are in the countryside or city, you experience a certain amount of stress and pressure. You still needed money to get your peaceful lifestyle and perhaps you got to work in the city first to earn that money? I maybe do prefer the countryside but "no worries, a care-free lifestyle" ? Maybe I would have to work doubly hard for that. Hmm... thats all I suppose, I hope you agree with me and respond if you disagree because I would love to hear from you!

Zhi Yong

Hi Zheyi!!! :D Cool opinions you have. But let me share my point of view with you. I certainly agree with you that living in the countryside will be relaxing and peaceful. Moreover, it will be great if we could wake up everyday to breathe in fresh air --- a perfect start for a day! As you had said, " We can have a break from the busy and hectic life, away from stress, away from pressure." I can't agree less! We will not have to fill our brains with homework. Instead, chill out and gaze at the breathtaking scenery! However, although countryside life sounds good, it is not completely carefree. Firstly, we must make a living by working. Especially in a place without technology, everything will not be as advanced and convenient as compared to city life. Secondly, in order to fill our tummies everyday, we would need to cultivate an abundant amount of agricultural crops and rear animals. Hence, we will need to worry if the weather conditions are favourable for the healthy growth of our plants and if there are harmful pests destroying our crops. Therefore, though country life may seem carefree and simple, it has it's ups and downs too! :D Next, I think that country life is very interesting --- we get to have a wide variety of entertainment products available in this urban area, ranging from rubiks cube to Wii, and even learn lots and lots of new stuff, having lots of chances. Although it seems good to hear, it is definitely very stressful and hectic. Now, as the economic crisis hits the nation, life seems harder in the city. And in this competitive environment, we would be busier than ever. So, in conclusion, I think that country life would be a better choice.
P.S. So u think that being both 'rats' is the best choice? Haha. Unless you were a city rat when you were young and live in the country after retirement. XD
Friends forever,
Ynez a.k.a. Nezzie :D
Actually i agree that both city rat and country rat are equally good. In the city, you will always strive to be better, you excel in the world more and your dreams and goals can come true. At the country, it is relaxing and enjoyable, yeah, like you said drinking mocca, haha, and there will be less stress and your life can be very relaxing. But in my opinion, I would rather be a city rat 'cause all the stress and competition, it makes us better and as i said can stand out more in the society :D Sorry for the lousy comment D:
No offense, but I will have to say that you should try to use less short forms and you should check before you publish your post. For example, "living a normal daily routine everyday in the countryside, viewin the same scenary, doing the same stuff every single day -- there areno special surprises whatsoever."
